The Chevrolet brand is one of the most well-known names in the world. Do you know where the name comes from? Chevrolet was named after Louis Chevrolet, who was an early race car driver born in Switzerland in 1878. He moved to New York City in 1902 where he raced for Fiat.
Eventually, William Durant, the founder of General Motors,
noticed Chevrolet’s racing skills. Durant hired Chevrolet to be his chauffeur
and convinced him to create a car company with him. Durant and Chevrolet
produced their first car, the Chevrolet Classic 6 in 1910.
Unfortunately, the partnership did not last. Louis Chevrolet
wanted to focus on racing cars, while Durant wanted to build more economical
cars like the popular Model T. In 1913, Chevrolet officially left the company,
sold his stock, but let Durant keep the name.
After Louis Chevrolet split from Durant, he continued
focusing on automotive design and co-founded the Frontenac Motor Corp. This
company built high-performing race cars that competed all across the country
and even won the Indianapolis 500 twice. The Frontenac Motor Corp. did not last
long and Chevrolet eventually had to file for bankruptcy.
Chevrolet died when he was just 63 years old. He was buried
in Holy Cross and Saint Joseph Cemetery, which is close to the brickyard in

Whether you’re looking to start a new seasonal
tradition or for a way to keep the kids busy while you’re wrapping their
presents, these holiday games should do the trick. These festive activities are
the perfect way to have some extra fun with friends and family this season.
In the Saran Wrap game, participants face the unique challenge of unwrapping layers of plastic wrap to win prizes. To prepare the game, purchase small gifts and candies, and wrap them up into a giant ball of plastic wrap, adding new treats with every ten or so layers. Players then sit in a circle and take turns unwinding the ball to disclose the hidden gifts.
In Snowman Bowling, players take turns bowling, but instead of pins, they’re aiming for home-made snowman towers. You and your family can spend a fun craft day building a few of the snowmen, using tissue boxes, paint, and construction paper. When game time comes, you need only stack the snowmen and enjoy the game.
Wondering what to do with that pair of reindeer antlers leftover from last year’s holiday party? A quick round of this reindeer ring toss game will be the perfect reason to whip them out. One player wears the antler headbands while another takes a try at tossing rings around the antlers. Be sure to use soft rings, like inflatable pool toys or Styrofoam rings from your local craft store.
Titus-Will Chevy wishes you and your family Happy Holidays. Remember to give us a call for any vehicular needs you might have this season.

If neutral exterior shades of vehicles are getting you down,
why not choose one of the bolder exterior color options on Chevy vehicles? Here
are just some of the choices available to help inspire your next purchase.
“Shock” is the perfect name. The ultra-bright yellow on the
Chevy Camaro is sure to make a statement, not that the sports car needed help
doing that. For something assertive but a little more understated, there’s
Crush, a deep, earthy orange that would look at home driving the streets of
The Chevy Spark has three fairly dynamic color choices to
fit your personality. It features its own Orange Burst, a more vibrant
Caribbean Blue that stands out among the more common Navy, and a cheery
Raspberry that would look just right on a Spring day.
Although not exactly bold, the Blazer does have a unique
color of its own. Sunlit Bronze Metallic is a sandy clay color that gives a
very southwestern style to the sleek city-dweller.
Volt and Bolt
Both electric vehicles feature a subtle color option for
something different that doesn’t feel too extreme. Their Green Mist Metallic
sets the cars out from the crowd with a classy pastel style. Or go with the
same Shock yellow as the Camaro to make the Chevy Bolt look more like its

We here at Titus-Will Chevrolet are lucky to call Washington our home. This beautiful state is filled to the brim with national parks and camping grounds, making it the ideal place for weekend adventures. If you’re looking to head out camping with your Chevrolet Silverado, though, why not make things a bit easier? Here are some Chevy Silverado camping accessories you should consider when you head out this weekend.
Washington can have unpredictable weather at times, which is
why it’s always important to be prepared. Stay comfortable throughout the night
with one of the Sportz tents available from Chevy. These tents were created
with your Silverado in mind, and attach to the bed of your trunk for easy
put-up and take-down. You can also opt for a tonneau cover to ensure your cargo
stays dry when the skies open up.
Your Silverado was made to tow and haul, so why not take
advantage? Whether you’re bringing your boat along with you to push out in
Puget Sound or plan on bringing a camper with you to your campsite, purchase a
trailer hitch package to make it possible.
If you’re heading off-road, then you’re likely ready to get
down and dirty – but why not try and preserve your Silverado’s paint while
you’re at it? Invest in some splash guards to protect your Silverado’s paint
job from mud and debris, and consider investing in an A-pillar light for extra
visibility and safety.
Not sure which of these Chevy Silverado camping accessories you should invest in? Stop by Titus-Will Chevrolet. We’ll help you narrow down which add-on would suit your vehicle and your lifestyle best.

Visit the zoo
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium recently added two new interactive exhibits. After spending some time in the hot sun watching the animals, visit the aquarium side. The new Sting Ray Cove allows visitors to touch some of the stingrays in the 1,000-gallon tank. You can also get up close and personal with the 17 sharks in the aquarium with Eye-to-Eye Shark Dives. These dives are available to anyone 8 years of age and older and you don’t need any diving experience.
Get a great view
For something a little more low-key, plan a visit to the Port of Tacoma observation deck. Climb the three flights of stairs for a great view of the port. It is free and it’s open 24 hours a day.
