Festive Holiday Activities for the Whole Family

Festive Holiday Activities | Tacoma, WA

The Christmas season is one of the best times of the year to create special memories with your family, but typical festive holiday activities can be far from budget-friendly. At Titus-Will Chevrolet, we put together a list of the top festive holiday activities we think you’ll love that won’t break the bank.

Write letters to Santa

If your children still believe in Santa, having them write letters to the jolly man is a great way to not only ascertain what they want for Christmas but also to have them practice their letter-writing skills.

Make a snowman

In Tacoma, WA, we’re lucky to have snowy winters. Make the most of it with your little ones by making snowmen, snow forts, snow angels and engaging in friendly snowball fights.

Send holiday cards to overseas soldiers

Our soldiers stationed overseas near holiday cheer more than most. Have your kids make a few holiday cards for them. This can also serve as a great lesson that Christmas is a season for giving.

Go on a holiday lights tour

Walk or drive to the best-lit houses you can find in Tacoma, and after your kids are done deciding which are their favorite, encourage them to use that inspiration to help decorate your home when you get back.

There are many fun ways to celebrate the holidays on a budget. Do you have any more ideas? Let us know in the comments below.

Dynamic Exterior Color Choices on Chevy Vehicles Stand Out from the Crowd

Raspberry 2019 Chevy Spark | Tacoma, WA

If neutral exterior shades of vehicles are getting you down, why not choose one of the bolder exterior color options on Chevy vehicles? Here are just some of the choices available to help inspire your next purchase.

Camaro

“Shock” is the perfect name. The ultra-bright yellow on the Chevy Camaro is sure to make a statement, not that the sports car needed help doing that. For something assertive but a little more understated, there’s Crush, a deep, earthy orange that would look at home driving the streets of Florida.

Spark

The Chevy Spark has three fairly dynamic color choices to fit your personality. It features its own Orange Burst, a more vibrant Caribbean Blue that stands out among the more common Navy, and a cheery Raspberry that would look just right on a Spring day.

Blazer

Although not exactly bold, the Blazer does have a unique color of its own. Sunlit Bronze Metallic is a sandy clay color that gives a very southwestern style to the sleek city-dweller.

Volt and Bolt

Both electric vehicles feature a subtle color option for something different that doesn’t feel too extreme. Their Green Mist Metallic sets the cars out from the crowd with a classy pastel style. Or go with the same Shock yellow as the Camaro to make the Chevy Bolt look more like its sportier sibling.

Stop by Titus-Will Chevrolet to test-drive our colorful array of Chevy models. We’ll help you find the right vehicle in just the right shade to suit your personality.

Make Your Camping Trip Better with These Chevy Silverado Camping Accessories

2020 Silverado 2500HD | Titus-Will Chevrolet

We here at Titus-Will Chevrolet are lucky to call Washington our home. This beautiful state is filled to the brim with national parks and camping grounds, making it the ideal place for weekend adventures. If you’re looking to head out camping with your Chevrolet Silverado, though, why not make things a bit easier? Here are some Chevy Silverado camping accessories you should consider when you head out this weekend.

Comfy Tents

Washington can have unpredictable weather at times, which is why it’s always important to be prepared. Stay comfortable throughout the night with one of the Sportz tents available from Chevy. These tents were created with your Silverado in mind, and attach to the bed of your trunk for easy put-up and take-down. You can also opt for a tonneau cover to ensure your cargo stays dry when the skies open up.

Smartly Tow

Your Silverado was made to tow and haul, so why not take advantage? Whether you’re bringing your boat along with you to push out in Puget Sound or plan on bringing a camper with you to your campsite, purchase a trailer hitch package to make it possible.

Consider Protection

If you’re heading off-road, then you’re likely ready to get down and dirty – but why not try and preserve your Silverado’s paint while you’re at it? Invest in some splash guards to protect your Silverado’s paint job from mud and debris, and consider investing in an A-pillar light for extra visibility and safety.

Not sure which of these Chevy Silverado camping accessories you should invest in? Stop by Titus-Will Chevrolet. We’ll help you narrow down which add-on would suit your vehicle and your lifestyle best.

The summer isn’t over yet. Before your kids head back to school, there is still time for a few more adventures. Here are some of the best outdoor family-friendly activities in Tacoma and the surrounding area.

Go to a concert

Every year, we get to enjoy some fantastic music from the Summer Sounds @ Skansie series. Every Tuesday night through Aug. 13, head to the park and enjoy a free concert. On Aug. 6, the Funaddicts will perform and Nate Botsford will finish up the series on Aug. 13. Keep in mind, you cannot set up chairs or blankets before 3 p.m. The music starts at 6:30 p.m.

Visit the zoo

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium recently added two new interactive exhibits. After spending some time in the hot sun watching the animals, visit the aquarium side. The new Sting Ray Cove allows visitors to touch some of the stingrays in the 1,000-gallon tank. You can also get up close and personal with the 17 sharks in the aquarium with Eye-to-Eye Shark Dives. These dives are available to anyone 8 years of age and older and you don’t need any diving experience.

Get a great view

For something a little more low-key, plan a visit to the Port of Tacoma observation deck. Climb the three flights of stairs for a great view of the port. It is free and it’s open 24 hours a day.

We here at Titus-Will Chevrolet hope to see you at one or more of these outdoor family-friendly activities near Tacoma. And, if you’re in need of a new Chevy to transport you to and from these dynamic destinations, stop by to browse our current inventory of shiny new 2019 models.
